What each field means
- The number is 10 digits and continues the sequence of your previous invoice.
- The tax point date is the date of supply; if it equals the issue date it need not be shown separately.
- The taxable amount is the sum of the lines excluding VAT, and VAT is calculated on it.
- If you are not VAT-registered you charge no VAT and state the basis – Art. 113(9) of the VAT Act.
Why not a Word or Excel template
A Word template looks easy until you have to track numbering, retype client details and check the maths by hand. One mistake in the number or the VAT means a credit note and a new invoice.
- Bivoyce numbers invoices automatically with no gaps.
- Client details load from the Commercial Register by company ID.
- Totals and VAT are calculated for you.
- The PDF is ready to send – in Bulgarian, English or both.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a free Bulgarian invoice template?
- Yes. The filled-in example on this page has every mandatory field, and Bivoyce lets you issue the same invoice as a PDF for free.
- What do I write on an invoice if I am not VAT-registered?
- You charge no VAT and state the legal basis – Art. 113(9) of the Bulgarian VAT Act.
